Blistering hot day! Trip up to Eynsham. Filled with diesel.
Very busy on Port meadow - on land: loads of picnics, on water: rowers and dinghy sailing. Godstow lock with a keeper not seen before. Smooth run up to Kings. Onwards to Eynsham lock. We always seem to arrive here at lunchtime for a spot of ‘Self service’. We don’t mind this, since this hand operated lock is fun!
Oxford Cruisers had a look at the leaking shaft seal, although wasn’t able to solve there and then. I am not able to go too fast until fixed.
Through Pinkhill Lock and tied up under Farmoor reservoir. We swam. Zoe was first in (brave girl). Skipper went in (underpants). Note to self to get boarding ladder since it was very difficult to get back on the boat.
