Aviva ready for launch
AViVA with a new coat of anti-foul.
All is prepared for the big day when AViVA goes back into the Thames after a winter rest.

Tarpaulin is off, 2 coats of anti-fouling and a general clean and polish. Fenders washed and back on.

Albin 25 Build plate

I took a photo of the Albin Marin plate on Aviva. Number 1163. A previous owner has documented the year as 1973 but I cannot confirm this.
This etched brass plate has really nice typography, with the main text set out in (what appears to be) the Optima typeface; like this:

The Optima typeface was designed by Hermann Zapf in the 1950’s.
