We took a couple of days out and spent the night at Dorchester on Thames. As you can see here we found a very cosy mooring tucked in under the trees. We had a fabulous walk up to the top of Whitenham Clumps before a supper of pasta and olive bread.
The journey from Oxford to Dorchester was a pleasant one with little wind or rain to bother us. The return journey saw a change in the weather and we needed to put the covers up when caught in a sudden rain storm!
One of the arches of the bridge at Clifton Hampden was being repaired. Maybe it had been hit by a boat heading downstream for the Jubillee celebrations.
On out return journey we notice some strange goings on at the railway bridge near Culham. Several men were observed navigating an extraordinary craft under the bridge and photographing the rusting metalwork. I hope this won't mean delays on the Oxford to Paddington line!
